How to give a Recognition

Recognizing your colleagues is a great way to show appreciation and build a positive team culture. Follow these simple steps to post a recognition on the Newsfeed.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Navigate to the Newsfeed On the main sidebar on the left-hand side of your screen, click on Newsfeed.

  2. Start a New Post Click on the text box at the top that says "Who are you recognizing?". This will open the recognition editor.

    1. Note: if you don't choose anyone, then you can create a Post instead.
  3. Select Recipients

    • Choose the colleague(s) you want to recognize.

    • Note: You can also select entire Departments or Teams if you want to celebrate a group effort.

    • Click Select when you are finished adding people.

  4. Add Badges & Points

    • Badges: Click on Award badges to attach a specific value badge (e.g., "Team Player," "Innovator") to the post.

    • Points: In the box next to the Badges area, enter the number of points you wish to award to the recipient(s).

  5. Write Your Message Type your message in the main text area. Be specific about what the person did and why it matters!

    • Personalize it: Use the emoji icon on the right to add flair.

    • Add Media: Use the buttons above the "Recognize" button to attach a photo, video, or GIF.

  6. Check Privacy Settings By default, posts are usually visible to Everyone. If you need to change this, click the privacy setting dropdown on the top right-hand side of the window (e.g., to limit visibility to specific groups).

  7. Post It! Once you are happy with your message, click the Recognize button to publish it to the company feed.

Tips for Great Recognitions

    • Be Timely: Try to send the recognition soon after the event or achievement occurs.

    • Connect to Values: Use badges that align with your company's core values.
