As part of its annual review, HRD Canada released a list of Canadian organizations that went above and beyond to help their employees cope with the chaos caused by COVID.
The factors used to determine the Best Places to Work rank are:

Average tenure of staff
Compensation and benefits
Health and wellness programs
Diversity initiatives
Professional development
Corporate culture
Flexible work options
Rewards and recognition
Green initiatives
In addition, HRD determines their Best Place to Work rankings by surveying the employees of each company.
Employees are asked to rate their company on various metrics considered drivers of employee satisfaction. To be recognized as a Best Place to Work, employers needed an overall satisfaction rating of 75 percent.
